We’re on the lookout for a new Digital Content Manager to join the team here at A+C. We’re based by the seaside in Margate and have over 10 years experience of producing commercial animation. We write stories, make puppets and bring characters to life, frame-by-frame, all under one roof. We’re a passionate and innovative team, including our studio dog Archie, based in a stunning Victorian building.

Every day is different, playing with Plasticine and LEGO – could you be the right person to join our team? Or maybe you know someone who is? We’re looking for a smart and ambitious person who can manage our social, SEO and email strategies, capture and edit content for our channels. Ultimately, we need someone who is up for the challenge of letting the world know about our work and how magic our studio is in Margate – simple!

We want someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude, who has a passion for social and who can create content that engages with audiences far and wide. This position is fast-paced, creative and innovative at every turn. The social and technological world is constantly changing and we need you to be up-to-date with that.

The Role

  • Content strategy: Plan, organise and implement our content strategy across channels.

  • Content Production: This position needs the ability to be able to grab a camera, film epic behind-the-scenes footage or interviews, and turn that into engaging social content in the edit.

  • Social Media: Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Tiktok, and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels

  • Lead generation: The fundamental goal of our digital content activities is to increase new clients and the number of new animation briefs we receive.

  • Digital marketing: Our services are often discovered by prospective and existing customers through search engines. Direct experience with SEO and knowledge of proven SEO practices is an advantage.

  • Research & Report: Monitor, track, analyse and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook insights. Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity. Analyse competitor activity.

  • Email marketing: Experience in managing mailing lists and implementing campaigns through email marketing tools (Campaign Monitor). 

  • Content writing: Being a strong writer and having the ability to convert powerful copy into leads through emails, blogs, and onsite content is important for this role. Up-to-date knowledge of WordPress would be an advantage.

Required Skills

  • Expert knowledge of social media channels, formats that work for individual channels and devices.
  • Experience with Panasonic GH5 DSLR, RODE on-cam & lavalier mics, small lighting set- ups, frame rates and codecs
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects & Photoshop
  • Up-to-date knowledge of trends within digital content for smart devices and desktops.
  • Experience writing a content strategy and implementing it.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Ads, social channel metrics, email campaign monitoring and paid spend for channels
  • A working and up-to-date knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Storage, maintenance and archival procedures for mixed media formats that you produce
  • Meticulous organisation, and a keen eye for detail
  • Quality control for all output across all channels, web and email.

Qualifications and Experience

Strong social experience, with a track record of content strategy success. A portfolio of compelling digital content that you’ve planned, created and executed. 3+ years of relevant professional experience outside of education. About A+C Studios

A+C Studios is an animation studio specialising in stop-motion animation. We are a team of ambitious animators, storytellers, technicians and model-makers. We combine hand-crafted, traditional animation techniques with the latest digital technologies and software to create award-winning animated content. We have our own studio space in a beautiful Victorian building, The Old Laundry, in Margate. We produce scripts, storyboards, sets and puppets, animation and visual effects to take an idea from script to screen. To date, A+C have produced animated content for clients including LEGO, American Express, Sainsbury’s, Trivago and Oreo. Our work has been broadcast on TV, cinema and online. These projects have been completed through a combination of working directly with brands and through international advertising agencies.
